A bit about your new role:
As Health & Safety Manager you will play a pivotal role in championing a safety culture throughout the Danish Supply Chain organization in close collaboration with the Danish management team. Your responsibilities will include developing and implementing comprehensive health and safety programs, conducting risk assessments, and fostering a proactive approach to prevent incidents and injuries across our Danish production sites, terminals and logistics. This role is crucial in promoting a safe and compliant workplace, aligning with our commitment to employee welfare and regulatory standards.
Your primary tasks and responsibilities will be:
- Develop, implement, and maintain effective health and safety programs and policies
- Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with local authorities.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to integrate safety measures into daily operations.
- Support the organization to continuously improve work safety
- Develop, revise and provide ongoing training and education on health and safety procedures for employees at all levels.
- Support and verify investigations, near misses and accidents, identifying rootcauses and secure adequate corrective actions are taken and knowledge is shared across sites.
- Keep abreast of industry trends, regulations, and best practices to continuously improve the organizations safety.
- Liaise with regulatory agencies and ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety legislation.
Who are we looking for:
We are seeking candidates with a Bachelor’s degree in occupational Health and Safety, environmental science or related field.
Proven experience as a Health and Safety Manager
In depth knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations and best practices
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to effectively engage employees at all levels
The Team:
You'll become an integral part of the Danish Supply Chain Management Team reporting directly the head of Supply Chain Denmark. Your direct team consists of a work environment consultant.
