Group Procurement Category Manager – CAPEX & Manufacturing Services

Your key tasks & responsibilities will be:
- The sub-categories of spend included in the scope of this role include CAPEX, MRO, Third Party Manufacturing, Utilities, CO2, CIP, and Draft Beer Dispense equipment. The role also has a group remit across the organisation.
- Strategic Category Management: Develop and execute multi-year category strategies for Group CAPEX and Manufacturing Services spend to align with our strategic growth objectives.
- Sourcing and Negotiation: Generate and implement effective sourcing and negotiation strategies to deliver business requirements with best cost and quality for TCO, leveraging benchmarks and cost models where appropriate.
- Performance Management: Achieve financial and relevant KPIs tied to the categories and broader Royal Unibrew goals. Manage costs and budgets effectively, particularly on large-scale CAPEX projects.
- Process Optimization: Drive consistency in category management, sourcing, and contract management processes while fostering best practices within the market teams and stakeholders.
- Stakeholder Alignment: Engage closely with market leaders and procurement teams to ensure alignment with business strategy and maintain a robust supplier network that supports delivery of group ambition.
- Market Insight: Utilize external knowledge and industry expertise to identify opportunities and mitigate risks related to commodities, industry best practices, digitalization, automation, and EU legislative environment.
- Supplier Collaboration: Establish collaboration platforms with key suppliers to enhance operational efficiencies, drive innovation, and promote sustainability and circularity initiatives.
We hope you recognize yourself in our below wishlist:
- Bachelor’s degree, professional CIPS qualification or equivalent is preferred.
- Minimum 8 years of procurement experience in CAPEX and Manufacturing Services categories, preferably in an international or matrixed organization. Experience in the CPG, food, and beverage industry is advantageous.
- Strong analytical and negotiation skills, and a focus on risk management.
- Thorough understanding of procurement processes, ERP systems, and tools.
- Excellent communication, influencing, and relationship-building skills, particularly with senior stakeholders.
- Collaborative mindset with a willingness to challenge the status quo and drive change when necessary.
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
- Enthusiastic and solution-oriented approach to problem-solving.
- Passion for developing teams and nurturing early career talent.
